 I want to throw a mid-winter party and serve some frozen coffee drinks, are there any good recipes out there? When I want to serve frozen coffee drinks for my San Francisco neighbors, I cheat and buy the frozen coffee drink mixes already made, either in stores or online. Go to any online search engine and put in ‘frozen coffee drink mixes’ and look at the one that appeals to you. There are many flavors available and my guests seem to like them. I found this knockoff frozen coffee drink of a popular coffee house. I made this and neither I nor my guests could tell the difference! Here’s the basic recipe: 4 shots of espresso, 1/4 cup of white sugar, 2.5 cups of either whole or 2% milk, 1 tablespoon of pectin (odd, I know but just try it), and At least 2 cups of ice. The guests loved the different way alcohol can be served. Here’s the recipe: frozen coffee Drink Recipe 2 parts ABSOLUT VANILIA; 1 part Cacao Liqueur, Dark; 1 part Crème De Menthe, White; 2 parts Cider; 1 part Espresso Coffee (cold); 1 part Milk, Frozen In Cubes; Mint Leaves, chocolate and plain sugar. You toss all the ingredients in a blender with crushed ice and pour into a rocks glass with crushed ice. Your guests will love this frozen coffee drink. They’re not that expensive and it saves you from standing at the blender making frozen coffee drinks all during the party. One of the three of the recipes they include are Caffé Caribbean Frappé: use One 1/2 gallon bottle of Caffé Ghiaccio; 1-1.75 litres dark rum; 2 gallons milk and Whipped cream optional.
