Requirement Posted- 2007-09-12 11:28:39.0
Location- San Francisco, CA 94114
Details- I have 3 areas I need the floors refinished one they are approximately 8x20 - 12x12 - 8x10. The first area has carpet, the last 2 have linoleum tile with a tarpaper backing that has in some places stuck to floor that needs to be removed before sanding, I can probably removed the carpet and tile but I would appreciate a quote either way and the price difference between an epoxy finish and poly-euro... and when might you be available to do this?

As a note of interest, the width of the wood is about 2 inches and it's 30+ Oak...

A ballpark estimate high and low would be great... thanks, Tamara Merry...

question number 559 I’m thinking of wooden hardwood floors in my patio home, how difficult is it to install?

In installing hardwood flooring for my Los Angeles home, I know that I will have to decide on the style and look I want to achieve. The choices that I can opt to use are many such as strips for a parquet floor or I can opt to use planks. Either way, I know that I will have to secure the wood to the base floor either by wood glue as with parquet and with screws for planks. Any holed that result from screw holes can be covered by appropriately sized wooden pegs. Installing hardwood flooring doesn't end when I have the wood pieces in place. It takes time and effort, but it’s worth it.
