What will a party entertainer do at my party or gathering?

I've found that many party entertainer's performances, generally, are available in three durations- one hour, one and a half hours, or two hours. There is no set amount of time, I found, that I should have the party entertainer at your party or gathering, however the number of guests at your Los Angeles party and the activities I would like included will determine the length of the booking I require. For example, I was told that smaller parties of around 15 children may only need an hour to play games, face paint, and create balloon sculptures, while larger parties may need to have their games slightly reduced or booking extended to accommodate additional face painting and balloon twisting. A good party entertainer will know what length of time I may require.
