Details- my dell inspiron 6000 laptop has problem with the screen. The folding joint making the screen peel into two at the right side bottom of the lcd screen. When I close the screen the joint is making split open the lcd frame. The system works fine and lcd screen also works fine. Just the lcd frame had developed the split at the right side joint. Please let us know if this can be repaired. I can send the photos of the damage. I need the cost estimate for the repair and the location of service center.

Last year we got my daughter an ipod nano, and this year I am really not sure how we can out-do ourselves with her birthday gift. She like shopping and clothes and such, but I think she would rather do this own her own. I don't like giving out gift cards either. What is something that is unique and fun for teens?

I actually think you should go with your own plan rather than getting the nano accessories.

A really great gift idea to build upon the nano you got her last year is to get her a sound system to go with the nano. Apple stores and apple online sells lots of different systems, and you can also go to Sharper Image to check out different docks that will play her music out loud so she can play the music in her room or listen to the radio.
I know you don't like gift cards, but you could always get her lots of songs for her nano, too, in the form of an itunes card. This you can get at lots of grocery stores and at the apple store as well.

I think a really great gift idea for fun is a trip to a spa. Then you can spend a day together and get pampered. That way, it is a gift to yourself and a gift to her as well as a time to bond.
Another great gift is a shopping trip, or, basically any day together where you can do things that both of you like--maybe a museum, going to see a show, trying different dessert places. If you take pictures, you can put together a memory book so your daughter will have something to keep and look back on. This is a bit time consuming, but it's lots of fun and well-worth the time!
