 Could you please tell me what color of furniture goes well with a yellow room? I'm thinking of painting my room yellow, which is a color I really like. The problem is, I don't know what color furniture goes with yellow. One of my mother's friends says I should leave the ceiling white so that my room doesn't look too small. Does that sound right? I think the furniture should be light colored and made of wood, to give the room a warm, homey feeling. Posted by Prabhat Leave the room ceiling white. I have my room painted all yellow, including the ceiling, and it looks too small. I would choose wooden furniture. That way you have more options for what color of curtains you choose. Then add some other accessories that fit your personality. I hope these suggestions work, I'm redecorating my place too. Posted by Anjana I think your mom's friend is right. The roof or ceiling should remain white. The furniture should also be white, but with cushions, curtains and other accessories colored either light green or yellow.
