question number 1001 I am not sure learning motorcycle repair will 'stick' with me, any advice?

I've found that if people still seem to have trouble learning it themselves, it may be helpful to have someone read the Motorcycle Repair Course and/or shop manual to you, even while sitting in your San Francisco garage. In the army, they always teach you the same way. Tell you how to do it. Show you how to do it. Have you do it. This has to do with the three ways people learn. Usually, people will learn things best by learning in one of these three ways. Some people learn best by reading about how to do motorcycle repair. Others learn best by hearing how motorcycle repair is to be done. Still others learn best by doing motorcycle repair. Each person has to figure out which style fits them best. This will help out a lot.

It took me try after try to learn how to do motorcycle repair right. This does not indicate I was stupid. I read that tests in both the United State's military and the Soviet Union's military showed that no matter how long it took personal to learn a specific task, once the task is learned, they could all do it every bit as well as personal that quickly learned the task. In other words, no matter how long it takes me to learn how to do motorcycle repair; I can do it just as well as a person who learns motorcycle repair quickly. I'm not talking about how fast one does the job, but how fast it takes them to learn how to do it. So take your time when you learn motorcycle repair. There is no hurry. Do it slow, do it right. The speed will come in its own good time. And I learned from the safety of my own garage.
